Optimization

Tasktabler - direct cost reduction or benefit increase

Optimization leads to direct cost reduction or benefit increase, so the cost of investment in optimization systems can be easily calculated and justified.

Optimization

is the procedure applied for a system, process or design whichmakes it as effective or functional as possible. Usually it refers to the selection of a best set of elements or the best values of parameters. In the simplest case, this means solving problems in which one seeks to maximize (or minimize) a real function by systematically choosing the values of variables from within an allowed set. Many problems are very complex, so exact algorithms, due to unacceptable computational time, are not applicable. In that cases metaheuristics are used, e.g. genetic algorithms, particle swarm optimization, simulated annealing, tabu search, variable neighborhood search, iterated, stochastic and guided local search.Optimization is successfully applied to many real-world problems such as design of: VLSI CAD systems, workplace schedules, school / university timetables, public transportation networks and many othersOptimization leads to direct cost reduction or benefit increase, so the cost of investment in optimization systems can be easily calculated and justified.
